Camel Webcams

The natural habitat for camels is the deserts of Asia, Africa, and the Middle East. You can see two different types. Dromedaries have a single hump, while Bactrians have two.

Camels have furry ears that work to keep sand out of them. When the animal breathes, their nostrils shut all of the way to prevent inhaling any dust. Their hooves act a lot like snowshoes do in deep snow, spreading out so that they don’t sink in too far when taking a step.

These animals can go for a long time without eating or drinking anything. Camels can lose up to one-quarter of their water weight without becoming dehydrated. That means they can hold a lot of fluids, drinking up to 40 gallons of water at once if they are thirsty.

Domesticated camels provide transportation and companionship, but people also drink their milk. It has less fat than what comes from a cow while providing several needed vitamins and minerals.

This page contains webcams to let you see Camels live on the web. These camels live at zoos, private farms and in the wild in locations around the world.
